Nana Tuffour Okai

Nana Tuffour Okai, professionally known as Bboy Lyricx, is an influential Indigenous hop practitioner and dancer from Accra, Ghana, widely acknowledged as the pioneer of Afrobreak concepts. As the co-founder of Africa Breaking Academy, he has been instrumental in advancing breakdancing and hip-hop culture across African communities, creating impactful platforms for young talent to develop their skills.

Bboy Lyricx’s expertise extends beyond dance; he is a seasoned facilitator in sports-for-development programs, using sports as a transformative tool to drive positive social change. Recognized for his strong capabilities in team and community building, he has designed and led a range of workshops for organizations, including the French Embassy in Ghana and Festival 24 in France. His programs are known for fostering collaboration, resilience, and social cohesion, making him a trusted figure in community-centered sports and cultural initiatives.

Throughout his career, he has organized, instructed, and judged numerous dance workshops and events over 30 Africa countries and globally, spanning countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Benin, Guinea, Senegal, Togo, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. As an ambassador for the Afrobreak Movement Worldwide, Hip Hop Works Incorporation Ghana, the Breaking Federation of Ghana, and UDance Art International U.S.A., Bboy Lyricx’s influence and commitment have been instrumental in the growth of breakdancing globally.
